Willems is immediately taken with her beauty and mysterious power, but he soon learns that even passion cannot overcome isolation and eternal solitude in this analysis of human nature. La historia de un hombre otorgado una segunda oportunidad pero incapaz de entender a los demás sirve de parábola sobre la flaqueza humana en este relato de intriga y aventura en el cual el amor y la muerte desempeñan papeles principales.
