This is a great book and an easy read, containing lots of strategies for dealing with my "normal" child in a calm and light hearted way, and it has lots of great and somewhat humerous examples. If you ever have a chance to see the Foster Cline videos on this, don't miss it, he is just hillarious. They show it on PBS sometimes. Back to my comment on this working with the normal child - this only served to antagonize my more extreme child (aka highly sensitive, spirited, challenging, or whatever the pop psychology label of the day is).
I agree with Alisa O. (review above). Yes, if you get a chance to hear the author speak, on PBS or elsewhere, you should jump at the chance! Excellent! Just a note, Alisa O (above) mentions the author Foster Cline is on PBS, actually it is the other author, Jim Fay who is speaking on PBS and other places. But either way, this is such great stuff!

I liked the beginning. . .
I think that the other love and logic books are better.
