I didn't think I was going to like the book when I received it and this morning started it again and I loved it. Finished reading it in one day.
This was such a good and moving book. I have read The Diary of Samuel Pepys but this book was the best fiction rendering of the plague that I have read thus far. It has another theme running through it: the theological practice differences between old pastor and new pastor. I found it so interesting.
