Thanks for your lists and tips.

Also check www.maryse.net.  She has over 130 paranormal series listed in alphabetical order. If you click on each series, you also get the reading order. Nice blog with those lists, new releases and reviews.  IF you don't see something on her list, email her, and she adds it. I know I had three to give her.

Has "THE LIST" not been up-dated since 4-27-09?  Does anyone know what happened to Brenda? and has someone else taken over "THE LIST"?

I didn't even know paranormal was a genre.  I get older everyday.  I was also stunned to see the word vampire in a paranormal list.  So it comes to me that I probably need a definition of what the paranormal genre has in it.  Could someone help me out with that?

I think it would depend on what you thought it was. I consider vampire and the like urban fantasy romance. Paranormal to me is someone with paranormal talents, such as precognition or something like that. It is all subjective.

Sarah McCarty is a new to me author in para normal.  She has a couple of series that are just starting.

Shadow Reapers - western paranormal

Shadow Wranglers - modern day western paranormal.

Tammy-Paranormal is just outside of normal reality.  This can and does include a wide swath of reading.  Urban fantasy, Vampire Romance, Were creaters (unless they are all real then I guess we would have to redefine normal.)  Fairies, Magic, Alternate reality.  so on and so on.

Oh, checked page one and Ben Aaronovitch- Broken Homes: A Rivers of London Novel  (very good modern Urban fantasy with wizards and mythic creatures in London.)

Kate Locke  God Save the Queen (Immortal Empire, Bk 1)  Goblins, Vampires etc

Richard Grant Tex and Molly in the Afterlife, also In the Land of Winter  Ghosts, and magic.

Jonathan L. Howard Johannes Cabal the Necromancer magic, and zombies

Charles de Lint any of his Newford books Memory and Dream (Newford)

The above are good authors not mass market but usually available.  And are different.

Caroline Jewel writes the My Immortal Series. It's a good series the male leads are not your typical "men".
