This book was a much better scrapbooking mystery than the Laura Childs Series (setting: NEW Orleans)and I am a huge fan of the latter series. I was overjoyed with the dialogue, the mystery, the scrapbooking tips, the characters and the ending.
This is Set in St Louis, MO. The main character is a non-practicing Jewish Widow who is a talented and published scrapbooker. The characters say some Yiddish things/proverbs, that the author always translates, which adds some depth to the stories.

I really like that they dont solve the husbands murder in one week. I cant wait to read book 2 and then book 3.

This books read a lot more like chick lit than a cozy mystery - at least for the first 3/4 of it. The characters were perfectly drawn and so very believable, but I felt the "scrapbooking community" was a bit overdone.

I'll definitely read the next book in the series to see where the characters go ....
