Cecily Peterson was living with an abusive stepfather after her mother passed away, and who knows what would have happened if Tate Winthrop hadnt come to her rescue. Helping her to get out of town, to college and on the road to her dreams, this would have been enough to make her fall in love with himif she hadnt already.

Against his better judgment, Tate has feelings for Cecily as well, but feels that he must marry within his tribe to keep pure Native American bloodlines alive. Cecily might fit in with his tribe and family, but that doesnt make her any less the white woman who he cant have.

I've read several books by Diana Palmer but this one is by far my favorite. It's the type of story I LOVE - a girl who's crazy in love with her best friend. And it's all about what they go through to be together. If you've never read this one, it is a MUST read. You'll love it.
