It was a good book, and I would rate it a 3 star.

Similar to "Riverine: A brown water sailor in the Delta, 1967" by Don Sheppard.
A good part of this book is devoted to casting aspersions on Mr. Sheppard's book/story. This book claims not to be a "Memoir"; but more historical. I believe it is more the former.
I feel it meets that standard, but something is lost when you must run others down to prop yourself up.
Otherwise; I like Mr. Goldsmith's Book/Story and would recomend it to any Militay History/Vietnam War buff.

A former navy lieutenant's account of his experiences on a PBR patrol boat in 1967 Vietnam.
