Protags: Adele Monsorrat
Setting: Ellis Hospital, Ward Eight, around San Francisco
1st Sentence: "The freckle-faced teen tapped her fingers against the crystals hanging from the antique lamp."

Echo Heron writes a knowledgeable medical thriller, a critical-care nurse herself. They're fun and quick paced with a likeable protag, Adele and her vegitarian dog Nelson. There is a cast of likeable and quite dislikeable characters in this book along with a nasty substance that I'm glad was made up because I'd hate to think of it ending up in my applesauce. Great reading for a winter blah day.

A strange medical thriller. Lots of medical jargon. "A big city hospital, a rogue virus and no cure in sight". Interesting book. This is for the people like medical terms and big city ways. I would read it again.
