Nothing is known of Pancho Villa's early life. He worked as a sharecropper with his family until he killed a man who molested his sister. With all his banditry and revolution work, he had time to marry five or six women. I enjoyed the introductory passages quoting Pancho Villa at the beginning of most chapters. They helped me understand this complex man. I was stunned to learn Villa died at the age of forty-five. He certainly crammed a lot of life into those years.
