I LOVED this book! It is amazing how much this young boy went through growing up,and even more amazing how far he went as an adult!! Such an inspiration to those of us who have had to overcome obstacles growing up..

Highly recommend in audio! The narrator is fantastic and really brings this (sad) true story to life!
TW: Child abuse (physically & mentally)
This memoir really brings to light life before CPS. David Crow is 1 of 4 siblings born to two people who should not have had children. Your heart will break for David and his siblings as they endure multiple forms of child abuse. There were a few chapters that had me laughing out loud (The Query Man, David's dad thinking he could beat up Muhammad Ali), but mostly I was just heartbroken and it is a book that will stay with me as someone who also had a traumatic childhood and resiliency to succeed despite the obstacles.
I followed the author on Instagram for additional photos and context to his story, highly recommend!
