Great book! I really enjoyed the mystery as well as a little romance thrown into the mix. It kept me guessing until the end. I would definitely read another book by this author.

Simple, quick read with a little drama, romance and suspense. Perfect to occupy an afternoon.
A well written story about a young widow who tries to move on with her life only to find out that something or someone is trying to hold her back. People connected with her and with her husband's career have the habit of turning up dead. And what's worse is that each corpse is found with a splash of red paint across his body and the heroine recognizes that "signature" as her deceased husband's handiwork. Was it really him in the car when he drove it into the Missouri River? Has he, dead or alive, come back to haunt her?
Absolutely loved 'Paint It Red'. One of those books you just cannot put down. Now that I've discovered Carla Cassidy I am selecting others of her books to read. Have not been disappointed by any of them.
Two years ago, Vanessa Abott's husband Jim, an up-and-coming artist, drowned himself in the Missouri River. His body still hasn't been recovered. Now Vanessa has arranged for one last showing of her husband's brilliant, disturbing artwork. Critics are raving and pieces are selling. She even meets an interesting man.
Then the gallery owner is found dead with a splash of red paint across his body. Vanessa recognizes it as Jim's signature mark. And in her home, Jim's picture somehow finds its way back onto the dresser, and his jacket appears on a kitchen chair. Is she going crazy? Or has her husband come back...for her?
