Fitch's first book, White Oleander, was on Oprah's list. It was one of my favorites of Oprah's picks. I read/listened to this book because of that, and I was not disappointed. Her second book, Paint It Black, is as good as her first.

A very raw story of a young girl's experience with love and loss. Sad search for finding oneself while trying to figure out what went wrong.
A little different book - I've never read anything by this author before. I had to back up tracks to figure a few things out as I listening to the CD's.
This was very good although very dark. Don't read or listen to it if you're feeling down. The writing style is very visual.
I really liked this book and I really liked the voice of Jennifer Jason Leigh, who read it. In fact, I've searched/received other Janet Fitch books now.
