A touching book covering a special education teacher and her students during a time when public schools were just starting to provide special education in the 1960's. Very well written and the book reads somewhere between a novel and journal. 30 years after I first read this book, the characters and their struggles still stick with me.
A profound subject but the author writes of her experiences in a simple, straight-forward, engrossing manner. Believable, important, well-worth reading.
