I couldn't get past the 6th chapter in this book. It just didn't hold my interest, seemed disjointed, flipped from one character to another and one time period to another too often. The main character, Phoebe Allen, wasn't somebody I could care about. Just wasn't my "cup of tea"...maybe someone else will like it better.

Setting is in the Northwest. Very slow moving book. Could not wait til I was done. Had to finish since I invested so much time already.
Looking back on a "what if" about a woman's first love. The man re-enters her life, but is he the man she thought he was?
A great story of relationships of mothers and daughters and more.
This story is set in the Pacific Northwest, I love reading about home in books. THe book is about life, manipulation and love. I thonk you'll like it.
