The elite SEAL Team 16 Troubleshooters squad is called upon once again to take down a group of terrorists who have hijacked a commercial airplane in this densely plotted romantic thriller. Amid the exhaustive drills and daily dramas of the mission, Brockmann (The Defiant Hero, etc.) weaves three romantic threads: a wistful WWII romance recalled by a Holocaust survivor; a turbulent relationship between SEAL Sam Starrett and FBI sharpshooter Alyssa Locke; and a burgeoning romance between the team's Senior Chief Stanley Wolchonok and helicopter pilot Teri Howe. When Teri asks Stan to help her keep a harassing officer at bay, his instincts are to comfort her and crush the officer. Instead, Stan arranges for her to accompany his team on a cushy training op that quickly turns into a real-life rescue mission. Teri doesn't mind being in the middle of the action, and she's eager to spend time with the fierce but compassionate senior chief. Meanwhile, Sam struggles to earn Alyssa's trust; the FBI's negotiator tries to keep his dealings with an American hostage from growing too personal; and the SEALs prepare to take out the terrorists.

Another Great Brockmann read. Teri Howe and Senior Chief Stan Wolchonok come flying at you! "Over the Edge is an unforgettable story of an explosive hostage situation in which two people are caught between the call of duty and the lure of destiny." There are other subplots that deepen this book!

I enjoy Suzanne Brockmann's writing style and this book is no exception. If you're interested in learning more about the Navy Seals with a bit of romance thrown in, read this book.

The thing about Suzanne Brockmann is that she is able to really create more than one story in a book. Multiple Characters are in their own separate situations and it really keeps the books lively and will also give you hints as to who is going to be the main characters in the next book. Another wonderful job.

I think this is probably my favorite Suzanne Brockman book - which says it all because I LOVE all of her books. It has so many different stories going on that tie together in the most perfect way. It seems to flow so effortlessly though that it is not confusing at all. This is mainly Stan and Terri's story - and I love them. It also was a very important book for Sam and Alyssa, and introduces several characters that we come to love just as much in later books. I would recommend reading them all in order but this one is a "must read." It will stay on my keeper shelf.
A romanic suspence...action packed thriller. This is an unforgetable story of an explosive hostage situation in which two people are caught between the call of duty and the love of destiny.
This was my favorite book of the entire series. Probably because Stan was my favorite character... But also because there is just enough action & just enough romance. The only downside to this book is the incessant cussing. Jeez, you get kind of tired of it after a while.

Excellent continuation of the series - this is book 3 - Senior Chief Stan and Teri Howe's story along with the continuing saga of Alyssa and Sam.
Another good book in the series. I love the way this author blends love stories from different times that end up connecting at the end. Very good author.
Another great book in the Navy SEALS Troubleshooter series.
As one of the best helicopter pilots in the naval reserves, Lieutenant Teri Howe is strong, dedicated, and highly skilleduntil a past mistake surfaces, jeopardizing everything shes worked for. Senior Chief Stan Wolchonok has made a career of tackling difficult challenges. So its no surprise when he comes to Teris aid, knowing that his personal code of honorand perhaps his heartwill be at risk. But when a jet carrying an American senators daughter is hijacked, Stans unflinching determination and Teris steadfast courage are put to the ultimate test. The rescue mission will be daring and dangerous. But somewhere between peril and resolution, the line between friends and lovers begins to blur, pushing both their lives over the edge
Really enjoyed this book.
Gripping romantic suspense at it's best!
Believable characters and a good plot! "...when a jet carrying an American senator's daughter is hijacked, Stan's unflinching determination and Teri's steadfast courage are put to the ultimate test. The resue mission will be daring and dangerous."

Really good book. I have really enjoyed all of Suzanne Brockman's books.
Good book with a surprize ending.
Good one! Important read in the series to know what is going on.
Great book this is the first one I read of troubleshooters and is why I am now going back to read the ones before this is and the ones after.
really good book, lovable characters, want to read more, always sad when her books end. gotta love those strong troubleshooters! I want one!!!
i LOVED this book! The story was very well written and it kept my interest! I recommend it!
great book!
Big book so has some spine creases. Otherwise another Brockmann SEAL story.
It was supposed to be a training mission to a tropical island. When Senior Chief Stan Wolchonok requested that Pilot Teri Howell be part of the Navy SEALs training operation, he thought she would get to fly the helicopters and have some much needed time to relax and get away from a man who is harassing her. Instead, a plane carrying a Senator's daughter is hijacked in Kazbekistan and SEALs Team Sixteen is called into action. As Stan and his team work with the FBI hostage negotiators and local police, they come up with a plan to free the hostages.
This is the third book in Brockmann's Troubleshooters series and it's a good one. There are many story threads. Along with Stan and Teri's burgeoning romance and the SEALs working on a rescue plan, we have a WWII flashback story told by Jewish woman whose family hid from the Nazi's in occupied Denmark. We also see Hostage Negotiator Max Bhagat trying to save the lives of the hostages, including a young woman he has feelings for. But my favorite portion of the book was the turbulent relationship of Sam and Alyssa. When will these two finally be on the same page? This is a fast-paced book and hard to part down. I highly recommend it. My rating: 5 Stars.
