Beware, the "special introduction" is a 50 page attempt to discredit Darwin.

This 150th Anniversary issue has an introduction by Ray Comfort. Mr. Comfort does all he can to deny evolution and promote creationism. To have this pseudoscience
introduction in a science based book is sneaky, underhanded, and does not allow the many arguments proving Mr. Comfort wrong. The bulk of the book by Darwin is fine, just ignore and rail against the bad introduction.

Shame on me, for not researching this book prior to wasting a PaperBack Swap credit. Turns out this book is a blatant Trojan horse. The first 50 pages is a religious "rant and rave" by someone of the name of Ray Comfort. He attacks Darwin personally and his great work. The remainder of the book is a reprint of the Origin Species but in such small print to insure that no one reads it. A total farce. The timing on receiving the book was pretty good, however. It came the same day as the garbage pick up at my house.

Upon receiving my copy of "Origin of Species," I was disappointed to find out that it was an abridged edition, self-servingly edited by the ignorant and pathetic evangelist Ray Comfort. As my reason for ordering this book was to further my own understanding of human origin, I find it horribly offensive that this edition has input from a man of such lowly intellectual stature. This edition was promptly tossed out! I urge anyone interested in reading this important book to make sure to get the "unabridged" version.

I got this book free from some preaching fanatics on my college campus so it is definitely a censored/slanted version of the book. However, I was presently surprised to see how minor these changes were, and was thankful for a free copy of this science classic.
