This is a visually beautiful book, full of photos from all over the world. It is also very informative about the world's major religions at a high level, an introductory look at each of them. Mary Pope Osborne is, of course, the very accomplished author of the Magic Tree House series for children, and she brings her ability to gently bu clearly explain new and different ideas to this book as well. It would make a lovely gift.
