This book retells and summarizes the Biblical story in a concise way for the younger crowd. It is well-written and accurate in what it tells. It probably won't hold the attention of the younger crowd as my 4 yo boy and 2 yo girl weren't interested. However, my 7-year-old daughter enjoyed it thoroughly.

I simply love this wonderful Christmas story as did my children. I have now begun reading it to my granddaughter. It is the gospel story for children told in an enlightened way... a classic, must read for all ages. The pictures are also stunning! The story is about a young mountian boy is cought alone in a sudden snowstorm, he takes refuge in a cabin his grandfather helped build many years before. The woman living there shelters the boy. during the hours they are snowbound she tells the Christmas story--beginning with creation and concluding with the resurrection.

I've read this book to my children on Christmas Eve every year since the oldest were little. It's become a family tradtion. This is a wonderfully told version of the Christmas story, holding even my wiggliest boy's attention. We recently lost it in a fire so I was THRILLED to be able to get it back through PBS.

The story of God's plan for humanity from creation to redemption in Christ. Beautiful illustrations.
Wonderful Book. Each Illustration has a picture in the picture.. The one I found first is Daniel is in the eyes of the Lion. Wonderful story for young and old alike..
this book is written for children at least 7-9 years old and up and adults. The art is beautiful. I have bought many copies of this book and I have given them away. Ruth Bell Graham tells a wonderful story .I believe the lady in the story is her, I do not know if it is true or not. A young Boy who is lost in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve knocks on Ruth's door and home alone she invites him in for the duration of the storm. The next morning she feeds him breakfast and begins to tell the story from the bIBle of the Creation of the World and moves onto Jesus. The story and art are a 10++++.This is the best Christmas Story ever.

I am an adult and I love this book.I love to read the stories and look at the great detail in the pictures. This is a great book and the story and pictures are superb about a poor Mountain boy loses his way in the snow and a lady takes him in and tell him the story of creation from genesis and and through the bible and all about Jesus. The people are different and mixed races in the Bible Story. This book is an all around winner.
The pictures have a great detail to them. If you study the pictures there is much more in the details than meets the eye. There are a lot of smaller images in the pictures that unless you study them you do not see.
