The first book in this series didn't really grab me, so I wasn't planning to read this one. I saw a copy at a used bookstore and am so glad I gave it a chance. This one is a real page turner, with a large cast of characters that you really come to care about. (Especially Daisy the search and rescue dog).
Enjoyed this book for the most part, it had an interesting story with excellent character development. Got a little dark in the last third, for my taste.
