At first I was hesitant to read this since my doctor had just told me to lose 10 pounds by the end of the year. But I decided to keep an open mind and read it as a humorous "encourager". I have mixed feelings after reading it. I agree that we should have high self-esteem, no matter how much we weigh. I appreciated seeing references to eating right and exercise ... rather than dieting, which is what I've been trying to do. The book opened my mind to the fact that some people are overweight and can't change it due to varies reasons and everyone needs to accept that. I'm not convinced about that for myself personally and I still want to get in the healthy weight bracket.
