The Best Author of Suspense Novels!!!!!!! Reacher the main character in all of Lee Child's books is such the awsome ex-military cop but so engaging to women and men. This guy rocks! He is invisiable and he gets into some serious situations while trying to hlep others even when he just wishings to be traveling around the world unattached. You will enjoy this book! Get yours today!

I've read four in this series in somewhat random order, and this one is my favorite so far. Nice plot twists, and Reacher in top form.

I loved this story - hooked me early on. I am a fan of Jack Reacher and have enjoyed all of the series so far. My book club read this one and we went to see the movie as well.

What I have come to expect. Great book
Good thrilling read but very contrived. I loved the plot but the evildoers and their motivations come out of left field and don't quite seem to fit. Fun nonetheless.

Another super page-turner from Child. This is the 9th Reacher novel and they just seem to get better and better. In this one, Reacher travels to Indiana because a former Army sniper apparently went on a shooting rampage killing 5 people -- Reacher wants to make sure the sniper gets his due. But as usual, all is not as it seems. Was the sniper coerced into doing the shooting or did he do it at all? Of course in the end, Reacher is able to get to the bottom of what really happened and why, but of course he's Reacher! High recommendation for this one.
Very involved, but the pieces of the puzzle all fit together at the end.
Okay, this is the book that they have made into a movie. Which I can see why. I like it but I'm curious if they are going to update it. Meaning, the year this story occurs. During this time, regular cell phones and not smart phones are being used in the story. Will the story be set in the year the story is set in the book or will they update it?
Aside from that, again, I had fun with the story, it was exciting and Child is great with providing details that make it easy to follow. The final climax of the mystery is a little, just a little, hokey but I still had fun. Now, the reason behind Reacher getting a little *ahem* action himself during the story was a little weak and forced but, hey, I can't complain too much.
I was flipping channels and caught a few minutes of Knight and Day. I know, a bad movie but I wanted to get a visual of what Reacher might look like on screen. I have to admit that I can see a little of what Reacher would like, I just wish Cruise was taller. Will his hair be blonde and will he have blue eyes? (Does Cruise have blue eyes? I haven't really noticed). I think the Reacher novels would work better as a TV series.

Another great Reacher mystery that I didn't figure out until Reacher told me the answer in the book. You gotta love Reacher's style.
Quintessential Reacher, plot holes and implausibilities and all. A man accused of using his sniping skills to kill five people asks for Reacher as soon as he's arrested. But when Reacher arrives, he arrives looking for vengeance. However, because Reacher wants all of his questions answered, he pulls at the loose ends and soon the whole fabric is revealed as a conspiracy and comes unraveled. The book moves fast enough that the reader can gloss over some of the questionable plot details and is fun enough that one can cry, "Oh no he didn't). This was a thoroughly enjoyable book and gets five stars because it does exactly what it sets out to do.

This author is a new discovery for me. The hero, Jack Reacher, is like a more believable Jack Bauer from "24". I finished it in two sittings and have just ordered another one of his books. I think I may need to read all of the books in this series. A real page-turner!!!

Short and sweet the Jack Reacher series is the best since MacDonalds' Travis McGee and the two have a lot in common. Both are a bit larger than life but not so much so as to make them unbelievable.

A sniper lurks in a parking garage during rush hour and calmly picks off five people exiting an office building. Overwhelming physical evidence names the perpetrator as Gulf War veteran James Barr. Barr, now in police custody, insists on his innocence and asks to speak to Jack Reacher. Reacher seems an odd choice for a defense witness; he's still angry that Barr walked away scot-free from a similar incident in which he gunned down four people in Kuwait. Surprisingly, Reacher becomes convinced of Barr's innocence; unfortunately, a jail beating has left the suspect with amnesia, making him unable to speak in his own defense.

I also watched the film "Jack Reacher" starring Tom Cruise. I enjoyed the film and recommended it to my family and friends. I did not know that it was based on "One Shot" because this book is one I missed in the series. Loved the film so I would guess I would feel the same way about this book.
