One of the most uplifting and encouraging books I have ever read. Instead of dwelling on the actual crime, this author transparently relates how she and her family worked their way through this tragedy with grace and faith. This is a book worth rereading again as it helps your believe that there is good even in the worst evil. Highly recommend!

As much as I want to say nothing but great things about this book I can't. It started off fantastic but about halfway through it started lagging. It was repetitive and slow. I'm a strong Christian and was overwhelmed with how faith based this book was - almost to the point of disbelief. It almost pushed me away - so I can see where someone not strong in his/her faith would be completely turned off by it. On the flip side, Marie Monville was very inspirational and the story is one of victory and love through the time of tragedy. To hear how the Amish community treated her and how she was able to stay faith based and thrive through this most difficult time in her life is an uplifting relief to the background of the story.
