This is part of a series of books on US history, full of carefully researched details, sometimes irreverent, but always literate. Although it is a graphic novel written for young students, it is nevertheless compelling, told in first person both by Nathan Hale, the actual war hero, spy, and his namesake, who was born an even 200 years after the original's death-by-hanging.
