Amethyst Danton doesn't believe in faeries. In fact, she deliberately disobeys her Great Aunt Daffy and dares to sit in the middle of the mystical circle of flowers known as a faerie ring. She falls asleep... and awakens to see a handsome man looking at her. He calls himself Comlan, King of the Tuatha De Danann-- the name of the folk who inhabit the faerie realm. But surely Amy is only dreaming and nothing bad can happen if she takes her imaginary king's hand and follows him to his imaginary castle.Comlan has come to Amy's world to warn her that someone she loves is in danger. He follows her to London during the Season and contrives to get her alone so he can return to his home. He never expected to be so attracted to the dark colleen whose grey eyes warm his heart in a way no woman-- faerie or human-- ever has. But Comlan knows what Amy doesn't, that the lives of a faerie king and a beautiful woman can never be joined. Still, he can't bear to leave Amy and against his better judgement he shares with her a forbidden love. Betrothed to marry a man she can't stand, Amy falls in love with the magical king and proves that she can be as unpredictable as the faeries. The danger that Comlan warned of brought them together-- but will the differences between the human world and the faerie realm keep them apart?

A lady fell asleep in a charmed ring of flowers and dreamed of Comlan, king of the fairy realm. She spent a few magical hours by his side, enjoying the company of the handsome king whose golden hair and green eyes could turn the head of any mortal maid . . . and whose charming attentions captured her heart.
But the year is 1850, and Amy Danton knows better than to believe in fairy tales . . . or so she thinks.
Have fun with this one!
