You may have seen the movie "The Rookie" when it came to theaters a few years ago, or you may have seen a TV interview or even a Major League baseball game in which Jim Morris was a pitcher. But until you read this book you won't realize that what you got before was the "lite" version of the story. The truth is that they played down Jim's story because they didn't want you to believe it was "made up".

Jim Morris was a guy who practically started his life focused on the game of baseball. As a toddler Jim only cared about playing with balls, and as a child was always the young boy out playing baseball with the big kids. But all was not peaches and cream in Jim's life or that of his family, and finding his way into Professional Baseball required a lot of growing up and many twists and turns.

This is a book written honestly about a real person living through tough circumstances and giving away his dream before it came back to find him. Whether you enjoy biographies or soap operas or stories about your favorite sport, this is a book you should read.
