As the case widens into a trangled array of crossed lives and multiple motives, Jury and his colleague Melrose Plant are intertwined with a trendy American novelist, an aristocratic family, a famous rock star, and a fierce little girl and the unseen murdered who stalks the somber and desolate moors. Oh, could it be any more British!
