My son and his entire first-grade class are fans of Tedd Arnold's Fly Guy series. This book had strong resonances of the song, "There was an Old Lady" and my son found this hilarious. We sang the song at the end of the book, the first time he read it to me. As always, the surprisingly gross and yucky drawings and the broad humor of the books worked well for my fabulous, dedicated beginning reader.
