This series improves with each new book. The characters are familiar now, so there seems to be more interaction, instead of explanation.

In this installment, we get to meet The Swine (Alison's ex-husband), and we learn more about Maxie the ghost. There are two investigations going on -- one involving someone from Maxie's past, and one involving someone from Paul's past.

I picked out the villain fairly early, but there were still some interesting twists up until the end. Alison's snarky comments are, as always, amusing.

Overall, a fun read with characters that get better with each new book in the series.

The ghosts haunting Alison Kerby's Jersey Shore guesthouse are sad. Maxie wants to know who murdered her ex-husband, and Paul pines for his still-living almost-fiancee. The only one who isn't missing her ex is Alison -- because The Swine just arrived on her doorstep...

As this series goes on I find I'm enjoying each one more and more. I love the characters, I love the Jersey shore and I love Copperman's sense of humor.

Loved the book. I have read both the previous Haunted Guesthouse stories and loved them both. Can't wait for Bk 4. The story was entertaining and kept me guessing right up until the end. E. J Cooperman can really spin a good story!
