Very funny book about a short season year in the minors. If you are a baseball fan, you will probably like this book. Almost kept as one of my keepers but have decided I need to share with others so I will be posting it after co-workers are done reading it.

This was a great read for any true baseball fan. You learn what minor leaguers go through and how players shuffle between many organizations.

Terrific!

This book had me laughing out loud at points; a well-written account and focused on the many misadventures the author encounters in the minors, instead of a pseudo-biography of the author himself, which many of these books seem to become. Since publication there's been some debate over how much of what happens in the book is actually true or exaggerated, but either way it's still a great read.

Provides a very interesting view of what goes on during a season of minor league ball. Book is controversial; some details appear to be incorrect. My thoughts are the author took notes all season long, and when putting them together into a book became sloppy about when a few things happened. Keeping that in mind, still a great look "behind the scenes," as it were.
