I'm not sure why this is getting bad online reviews - I LOVED it. It was intriguing. A great mystery and nonstop action, with a good romance. Definitely recommended.

I found this book to be an ok read, but not as spell binding as I had hoped from Karen Robards. Worth your time, but expect to be able to put it down.

Katherine Lawrence feels as if she is in the middle of a draconian nightmare as thugs, spooks or terrorists break into the house where she is living that belongs to her lover Ed Barnes, the deputy director of operations for the CIA. They tie her and her friend Lisa up and they torture Katherine trying to get her to tell them where the safe in the house is. She never knew Ed has a safe but they don't believe her but Katherine manages to get her mouth free of the tape so she can scream.
Her next door neighbor Don scares them off and takes her to the hospital where she feels like she knew him in another life. She also thinks she is losing her mind because when she looks in the mirror it isn't the face she remembers and when she takes a shower it isn't the body she remembers. For some reason she is afraid of Ed and with the help of Dan she loses the two agents he has guarding her. Ed soon picks up her track and when he finally gets his hands on her she feels she like she is living in the middle of a Hitchcock movie.
Readers will love OBSESSION, a stunning and powerful tour de force thriller. Katherine doesn't know what is real and what is a figment of her imagination but she has clues that all is not right. Her rings are loose, her clothes are not comfortable and the tiles where her head bashed the kitchen floor seem to have shrunk. Readers will eagerly wait to find out what is happened to the vulnerable and frightened Katherine. Karen Robards proves once again she is a stupendous storyteller.

This story grabbed me from the first chapter and wouldn't let go. It just kept me going. The characters are believable and likeable. Lots of twists & turns, but explained well. Romance too. Recommend it.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat from the start!
One of her worst books. The story line starts out with great promise but soon becomes silly and contrived. I was so disappointed in this book because the author had a really interesting idea for a book and could have made it into something worth reading. As it is, I wouldn't waste my time with this book.
This book was very hard to put down. Alot of twist and turns, very good reading. Characters were easy to relate to and the storyline is great.
Pretty good book that my Mother passed down to me.

Acting on instinct, Katherine runs for her life, with Dan , her newfound protector at her side. By turns grateful and unnerved by his presence and unable to shake a feeling of profound dread, she allows him to spirit her to a secluded safe house. Instead of finding a haven, they stumble into a tangled web of government conspiracy, and Katherine is left confused, frightened and desperate to uncover the truth. As the pair is drawn further into this shadowy world where almost nothing is as it seems, as fear gives way to a firestorn of attraction, the cat-and-mouse game grows more deadly and soon both of their lives are at stake
