This is a nonfiction book with amazing stories mixed with just as amazing facts about the science and biology of butterflies. This is truly amazing stuff! A terrific book for anyone interested in nature at all.

Included in this lovely butterfly descriptive book are the stories of when and why they do what they do. Explaining that while most butterflies get through life by flapping their wings, the Monarch needs to reach its Mexican wintering site in less than ten weeks, from Canada. How they migrate, using thermal updrafts to glide and soar like eagles makes for fascinating reading.
