I absolutely love this series, the best way to describe it with out spoiling any thing would be: post apocalyptic X-men. I can't wait until the next book comes out!

Excellent book.

Excellent futuristic fantasy. This is the first in a series of eight books (the last two are scheduled to be released in the US in the spring of 2011), and it sets the stage nicely for the subsequent books. I found the authors post-doomsday-world intriguing, and the heroine is relatable and interesting (the whole way through the book, I pictured her as being very like Heather Kuzmich from Americas Top Model).

This novel also has a lot to say about discrimination and how unscrupulous people take advantage of peoples fear of differences.
