mpartially, it's impossible to disagree with PRIMARY thesis: Most of the Millennial Generation fits the bill

I think there is a distinct probability that nearly all negative reviews for this book are written by those who haven't read it, those who are being discussed, or both. The reason I say this is simple: While the book may be a negative reflection of the Millennial generation, the majority of the points made by author Jason Mattera are largely complimentary of Obama, his party, and their masterful job of using their entire quiver full of marketing arrows. Among 18-29 year old voters, 68% voted for Obama (32% McCain); the widest margin among any age group. This statistic alone supports the book's thesis.

Movie and musical influence from Hollywood and MTV (despite MTV's lack of music), the assistance from one of Facebook's founders, computing giants Google and Apple, the blatant support of magazines like Time and Newsweek, shotgun blast Youtube videos, a brilliant online marketing campaign, impromptu concerts used as voter registration and indoctrination centers, and an assortment of high-tech voter-galvanizing techniques spawned by the ingenious marketing of Obama's team - including several purportedly impartial voter registration groups - and propagated by the majority of the mainstream media documented as voting Democratic (especially the scores of chronicled media members who were awarded administration jobs for their loyalty).

Anecdotes certainly aren't evidence in and of themselves, but I saw this firsthand at the voting booth. People voting for Obama simply because his race or the implied symbolism, because his party (which is not abnormal), and for simple words like "hope" and "change," not because of qualifications or experience. Primarily - from my experiences and examples in the book - this kneejerk, reactionary, cruise-control voting is done by those who are less informed; and young people, regardless of how much they think they know, are by and large less informed. How else can their pre-election support for Obama over McCain on foreign policy issues be explained?

Ignore the talking points one way or the other, ignore your political allegiances, and the premise of this book is completely accurate; the Millennials are the least intelligent yet quick to speak, least consequential yet self-important, easily influenced and liberally indoctrinated generations in history. The flaws of this book are several contradictory points of view which don't support the author's claims. Overall, however, the premise is sound, and I have personal experience with far too many Obama Zombies to disagree with the idea.
