This was a pretty good book right up until just before the ending. It's a shame too, because if it hadn't been for this one part, I'd have given the book a fairly good review - not great, but worth a credit. Don't get me wrong, there's a happily ever after, but without giving it away, let's just say that something happened almost at the very end that spoiled the rest of the book for me. It was something that the hero dealt with so poorly and showed such lack of understanding for the heroine that I wanted to throw the book across the room. Naturally, the situation was resolved between the characters, but it seemed rushed and less than satisfying. Perhaps if it had been placed earlier in the book, with a few more good parts in between (showing the hero in a better light), it would have been okay. As it is, I'm guessing there's a follow-up to this book, there's an obvious lead-in with the hero's brother and the heroine's best friend, but I won't be reading it.

This was my first book by this author. I gave it 4 though its probably closer to 3.5 stars on afterthought. Worth reading -- yes if you are in the mood for erotic science fiction. The customs of the other world are definitely chauvinistic in nature -- the guys do seem to get more of the breaks. But a good read - I did get the second book which was ok -- interesting to read as a continuation of the story line and I would read the third but not as good as the first book. Wouldn't pay full price but worth a credit or a swap.
Very short read thus only 3.5 stars, decent storyline, predictable end, but I'm looking forward to the next in line Oath of Challenge.
