Wonderful account of the events that led up to the trials and the trial itself. It will give you quite insight into the actual players. Persico is a prolific writer and I had the pleasure of attending a lecture that he gave at the Robert Jackson Center (the head proscecutor from the US at the trials) in my home town. Great history lesson!

This narrative account of the trials made this book an easy read while providing a valuable understanding of the trial and this important aspect of modern history. I would highly recommend this book.

JOSEPH PERSICO RETELLS THE STORY OF NUREMBERG COMBINING SWEEPING HISTORY WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL INSIGHT. HERE ARE BRILLIANT, CHILLING PORTRAITS OF THE NAZI WARLORDS AND RIVETING DESCRIPTIONS OF THE TENSIONS BETWEEN LAW AND VEGENANCE, BETWEEN EAST AND WEST, OF THE FRICTION ALREADY PRESENT IN THE EARLY STAGES OF THE COLD WAR.
