This book is labeled for young adult--and it is fine for that age, but it is also more adult. It was an excellent read. A beautiful story of slaves gaining their freedom. But for this young girl who is a house slave--it is hard. He brother has beeen sold off and life is far more difficult now for this young girl. Get out the kleenex-this book will creep into your heart and stick in your mind.
