That's me, little piggie! Ate a lot today. At least some of it was sort of healthy... green bean casserole, potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin custard.

but... it was Thanksgiving! Had a great time with family, though not enough sleep last night. My gift to myself tonight is not to set an alarm for tomorrow.

Teri, I'm so glad you had a good visit with your dad recently. Please take care of yourself

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving Margaret.

I'm actually down another pound this morning, 234.6.

We got 5" of snow yesterday. I got some exercise today shoveling the porch and steps up to the road. I wanted to clear a path for the Amazon delivery person.  I admit to comfort eating. So I'm up a couple pounds. I'm not terribly worried. I'm not done comforting myself with food, either. My insurance changes in January. And the coverage gap/donut hole is no more in 2025. I expect to go on another weight loss medication since it will be more affordable. I don't know if it will be Ozempic or another one.

I don't think it's bad to have Comfort Food as long as you realize what you are doing, and as long as you don't start comforting yourself that way for every little  thing, and of course it is not healthy to try to use Comfort Food to avoid the true pain and true healing.

i was supposed to do a "self care" day Wednesday, but i didn't find time for everything, and yesterday was spent with family, so today is self care day. I just shaved, which was needed for days! Now for the scale... 237! So not too bad. I'm sure I will end the year higher than I started, but my ups and downs have stayed below 240 all year, so well below the peak of 250 in 2023.

I started the year at 217, so it is disappointing to not get to my goal of 200, and to have gained 20 pounds, but, I did not gain back everything I lost in 2023, so I'm trying to look at the bright side! And life happens! My new goal is to be below 235 for sure, and maybe in the 220s at the end of 2024.

Teri, you do what you need to do as you go thru the healing process. Some people go for comfort food and that's totally ok. When I'm really upset, I can't eat. All I want at that time is to stay in bed. We all do things in whatever way we can that gets us thru the day. I hope the new diet med works for you if you get it.

Margaret, you'll get there. I think you struggle with the diet like I do, with all the yo-yo-ing that goes with it. Hopefully we'll both be in the 220's at least by the end of the year.

Todays weight 234.4
