You will revisit Winters Garden (a wonderful romance, which I highly recommend ), will see how the heroine and hero ended up from that book..... As for this book, after the first chapter the book just went down hill. Second chance love story is one of my fav plot device, but this book is too dry and boring.
However, I could not finish it, so maybe the book becomes miraculously spectacular...somehow...way, way later?...

A couple of notches above the average post-Regency romances. The storyline has a good, intriguing mystery, with twists & turns & surprizes. The characters are believeable, and the romance is lovely, with a happy ending that isn't two sappy. Enjoy.

A pretty good story line..a couple of times you'll think "DUH" they finally figured it out...Didn't like the characters as much as in her other books...I've read worse...

This was a complicated read. Why? Well, she had three different and complicated plots going on at once with little to any background on them. Characters were hard to keep track of and follow. That being said the two main characters were so fun! Great development, tension, mixing it up and communication. Why it had to be so muddled with all that was going on I don't know, one of those plots expanded would have rocked this book to great but anyhoo.
Still a fun read.
