One of the best books I've read recently. The writer presents it as if it were a J. Patterson , Alex cross story, even though you know the final result. But the stories in it that are now so forgotten makes it a great thriller.

This is the Nonfiction story of the man who built the transcontinental railroad-the famous and the unheralded, ordinary men doing the extraordinary-who accomplish the spectacular feat that made the continent into a nation. I found this book very interesting. Tells about little known people who helped build the railroad - some with unterior motives.
