A little pretty womanish, but I did enjoy the story. Very vanilla with some sprinkles and HEA.

I wasn't able to finish reading past the first few chapters. Books with a storyline where the lead female character goes through a "makeover" really turn me off.

An easy quick read; could have been any of the past hundred Harlequins I've read, so I don't really see the reason for the expensive, trade size publication.

I enjoy marriage of convenience books, so this was enjoyable. Nothing earth shattering new in this plot but a nice read. I would have liked to have seen a longer book and an epilogue a year or two later would have been the whipped cream on the top.

A CEO of a family company, Ryan McCay, must marry or lose his company. His executive assistant, Faith Lewis, has quietly loved him for years. Now she is asked to be his wife. And not in name only. The terms of his grandfather's will is that Ryan's wife must become pregnant within a certain time.

So the story begins....

Quick easy read, pretty clean. Story has been written many times before, marriage of convenience to save company, marries virgin assistant who is in love with him, must have a baby. Things that I like in this story line: he was player and there is some jealousy/3rd party, chokes you up a little.

I'm really surprised at the 4-star rating of this book. I agree with the previous poster who said this reads like a Harlequin. Just not very exciting at all. This is not typical Jaci Burton. Gave it 3 stars.

Awful writing. Rarely ever more than two sentences in a paragraph, poor structure, really weak - far from special

Romantic fiction by Jaci Burton. This story has been done many times before: Wealthy mogul Ryan has to marry, and have a child with his wife within a year, in order to fulfill his grandather's will, and maintain ownership and control of his company and fortune. Down to the wire, he asks his dowdy assistant, Faith to marry him. She does. But, it turns out that under her ill-fitting clothes, and glasses, she's not mousy. I bet you know the rest of the story. There's a protagonist who tries to sabotage the marriage.

"Nothing Personal," is nothing extraordinary.

What a pleasant read. Faith is definitely a lot naive for someone her age, but absolutely true to herself as she enters into a contract marriage for her hunky boss, so that he can keep the company his grandfather built. If you only read one light romance, this would be the one. Very well written and you love Faith right from the beginning and are rooting for her the whole book.
