Very well written and a very good story that looks at the civil war from both sides as a young soldier/spy witnesses the passion and angst that tore America apart.

Dara Horn did a wonderful job creating a fictional account of a handful of people from both sides during the Civil War. It was interesting looking at their struggles through the eyes of Jews in the Confederacy. Excellent historical fiction. I loved this book and couldn't put it down.
