Huntress
This one started out a little slow for my tastes and the author's writing style seemed to have regressed to something similar to previous books in the series where it feels like all you're reading is a lot of pointless drama. But, about a third of the way through it picked up the pace quite nicely and I had a hard time putting the book down even though it wasn't hard to figure out who the Wild Power in the story was. Overall, it was a good read and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

Black Dawn
I thought that this was an okay read, but at times it felt a lot more juvenile than previous stories in the series. I mean, come on, a fantasy-like kingdom in the mountains of Washington? There was also a lot of the usual overly-dramatic plot devices and dialogue that sometimes drove me nuts. It was definitely not one of my favorites in the series.

Witchlight
This story was another okay read in the series, but I really felt the author could have done better. Dragons? Ninjas? Seriously? In addition to cameos by popular icons such as these, the story was just too predictable and hokey too often. It was like the author had no clue where to go with her series after creating a lot of build-up that just leaves you feeling empty. I was really disappointed that it wasn't a better read and perhaps it explains why it took a decade to wrap it up and offer a conclusion (coming out next year). I have a feeling I'll be waiting for the book via using a credit and not buying it when it does come out.
