IMHO, the author took five of the rejects from the show "So you want to be a Superhero" and wrote a book about them. The reason for the superheroes exsistent is a good idea, the 'ordinary" lives of the characters is well thought out and their behavior in our dreams is consistent. Unfortunately, several of the characters abilities, and how they access those abilities, ruined a possibly good story. They reminded me of badly developed comic book characters. The inconsistancy of the writing style between their super-powers and the rest of the story was too discordant.
Great imaginative tale.
This book is so completely original it is amazing! never have I found a book like it in its action creativity and it's one of a kind characters!
There really isn't a whole lot I can say about this book.
I enjoyed it, and I'd probably read it again if I had it to do over, but it sure is out there. Very origional with nightmarish bad guys and unlikley heros.
