This collection of short stories by the master of the horror story is one of my favorite Kings. I especially love Strawberry Spring and One for the Road.

i read this book years (and i mean *years*) ago and the stories were/are incredible. so incredible that i can still recall mutant rats, rafts, little boys who hold there breath when they really shouldn't, a good doctor with a taste for lady fingers, and the fact that i'm so very glad i quit smoking years ago. creepy but an excellent ride.

Some of his stories i find a little overrated in this collection, but King's work for the most part does not disappoint in giving you some chills. Night Surf, The Ledge, Quitters, Inc and I Know What You Need are easily favorites of mine, while some of the others that were hyped up for me (Boogeyman, Children of the Corn) were only so-so.
