Night Bites - Mackenzie Vampires, Bk 2
Author: Nina Bangs
Cindy Harper has an ice-cream flavor for every emotion. Vanilla caramel fudge eases the stress of dealing with her weird and wacky guests at the Woo Woo Inn. But no sweet treat from her freezer is smooth, creamy, or tempting enough to cool down her dark fantasies about Thrain Davis. — Thrain is a man to be enjoyed on a strictly primitive level. Well, I can't say this was my favorite vamp romance ever. I was just never pulled into the story and kept putting it down to read other things, thinking maybe I wasn't in the right mood. But I think it was more that the story never really seemed to go anywhere, and the whole "cosmic troublemakers" thing didn't work at all. So I'd have to say this one seemed a bit flat. Not really bad, just not all that exciting, either.

Although the cover are doesn't indicate it, I like the humor in Nina Bangs books. I'm a big fan of relieving tension with humor. Great book:)

Not exactly what I was expecting in a vampire romance, but not bad either.

Cindy Harper was terrified of things that go 'chomp' so imagine her terror (and attraction) when she met the super-sexy vampire, Thrain Davis...one of the many strange guests staying at her bed and breakfast, the Woo Woo Inn.

Some familiar characters pop up once again in this book. Sparkle Stardust (aka Prada) and Ganymede (aka Trojan) are cosmic troublemakers who lend their own brand of comic relief to this book along with a healthy helping of trouble. The pair cause everthing from werewolf fights to Jersey Devil conjurings, and Trojan's Ben & Jerry's 'addiction' is a hoot.

This was hard to get into. Funny in places. Yet kept going on and on and on without a point.

This was a funny approaching silly take on a vampire romance. If you're looking for a slightly less zany take on a hotel for paranormals, I'd recommend the Sweep series by Ilona Andrews.

I guess it was only a matter of time, there is a real place just named the Woo Woo Inn. (I read it on the internet, so it must be true).

In Night Bites, Nina Bangs picks up where she left off in Master of Ecstacy. An entertaining story with a funny, likeable heroine and all-too-tempting hero.
