Great reading for an 8 yr old girl. My daughter read this book for her 3rd grade book report. She loved the book. Since I had to help with the book report, I got to read the book too! I thoroughly enjoyed it also! There were some good lessons about friendships. And we both learned all about what a service dog is and how they are trained. I would highly recommend.
