An excellent book. It follows on in the lives of two Christian girls (Mabel and Sarah Jane), which start in their childhood as neighbors, and continues through adulthood, marriage and pregnancy. The setting is the late 1800s,

Well worth reading, if you don't mind an almost childish style (after all, it was written for young girls, not adults).
