from back cover:
NAME: RICARDO ESTEBAN AMADEO SANTOS
DATE OF BIRTH: 1459 DATE OF DEATH: 1492 DATE OF REBIRTH: 1492
OCCUPATION: IMMORTAL GUARDIAN
Reborn moments after Queen Isabella of Spain ordered her lover's death, Santos accepted eternal life in exchange for protecting humanity. For centuries, he's kept himself secluded in a hillside mansion. But all that changes one night when he takes in a woman who claims to have seen him in a vision.
A dire prediction has convinced Erin Brady she will be murdered on her thirtieth birthday--and that Santos is the only man who can help her. Unwittingly drawn to the beauty who can read his thoughts and heart like no one ever has, Santos realizes she is his Destined Mate. And with the threat of her imminent extinction ticking like a time bomb, Santos suddenly has something worth dying...and worth living for.
This is an enjoyable book and, according reviews on amazon.com, better than the first in the Guardians series from Nocturne. I have not read Eternally, so can't comment.
Although there are a number of lovely (and hopefully carefully researched) Spanish phrases, the English was not so carefully edited. There is more than one instance of the verb 'lie' being used incorrectly in the narrative.

This was the first book on the Harlequin Nocturne line that I have read, and it certainly will not be the last. I found the characters very well written and easy to relate to. Very emotional and well thought out plot.

Not quite as good as the first one in the series but still enjoyable. The action starts right away which I really liked.

#10 in the Silhouette Nocturne series, I found this book to be a very good, fast paced read. Maureen Child is a good author. As with all Paranormal books you have suspense, romance and of course don't forget the hero the Immortal Male, yummy.
