Vivian Vande Velde is one of my favorite YA authors. In this story, she crafts an Agatha Christie mystery in the countryside of ancient Europe. For spice, she throws in a witch, who provides plenty of comedy, and keeps the reader wanting to know what will happen next. Young readers will enjoy this fast-paced adventure.
