I loved this book. It was a great suspense read.
It's after midnight in a wooded section of New Jersey, and Frances Sommers' husband has left her alone-again. Jeff says he's traveling for business, but Frances is not so sure. He's been distracted lately, on edge, not helping her live the life she dreamed of when she moved from New York City to the suburbs.
Now, Frances has read about a string of murders of young women in the neighborhood, and she's scared. Her imagination springs out of control. Why do they always happen when her husband is away?
And now Terrence is back-all too willing to revive the dangerous attraction that bound them when they were sixteen, before he walked out of her life.
Haunted by suspicion, tormented by two men playing a dangerous game, all Frances can do is wait while a madman closes in on her-only he may be closer than she thinks...
